Description

This is an Act to set up a Kiribati Medical Council and a Nursing Council as controlling authorities for the registration and discipline of medical practitioners, dentists, nurses and members of paramedical services; and for connected purposes. The Act prescribes matters related to qualifications and control of medical/nursing practitioners, dentists, and members of paramedical services (e.g. pharmacists, clinical psychologists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, etc.); recognition of training schools; and licensing of private hospitals.
