Description

This National Service Framework (NSF) sets standards for the care of older people in all settings across health and social services. In addition it focuses on those conditions which are particularly significant for older people and which have not been addressed elsewhere – stroke, falls and mental health problems associated with older age. The four themes in this NSF are: respecting the individual; intermediate care; providing evidence-based specialist care; and promoting an active, healthy life.
