El Programa para la Protección y el Desarrollo Integral de la Infancia tiene como finalidad establecer las bases y lineamientos mínimos indispensables para el diseño, desarrollo e instrumentación de proyectos que permitan dirigir y alinear las acciones de manera coordinada entre la Federación, las Entidades Federativas y los Municipios, con el propósito de contribuir al cumplimiento de la Convención sobre los Derechos del Niño, en beneficio directo de las niñas, niños y adolescentes que se encuentren en el territorio mexicano.
