Dispoe sobre a protecao e os direitos das pessoas portadoras de transtornos mentais e redireciona o modelo assistencial em saude mental. Os direitos e a protecao das pessoas acometidas de transtorno mental, de que trata esta Lei, sao assegurados sem qualquer forma de discriminacao quanto a raca, cor, sexo, religiao, opcao, politica, nacionalidade, idade, familia, recursos economicos e ao grau de gravidade ou tempo de evolucao de seu transtorno, ou qualquer outra.

Provides for the protection and rights of people with mental disorders and redirects the mental health care model. The rights and protection of people with a mental illness, that this law defines, are provided without any form of discrimination as to race, color, sex, religion, opinions, politics, nationality, age, family, economic resources and the degree of gravity or evolution time of their disorder, or any other.
