Description
The overall goal of the Policy is to protect and improve the quality of life for all children in anequitable way within the social and cultural environmental context of Samoa. It therefore
focuses on the need to strengthen and improve existing mechanisms, structures and measures for child development and the care and protection of children at all levels. The objectives of this policy are therefore as follows:
1. To develop and implement a national agenda for children in line with Government’s
national vision for development.
2. To strengthen coordination, monitoring and evaluation of all programs and services
targeted at children.
3. To enhance cross sectoral commitment and ownership of the focus on child
development and child protection in Samoa.
