L’objectif général de la Politique Nationale de la Jeunesse consiste à répondre à l’ensemble des besoins, des attentes et des aspirations des jeunes pour leur permettre de prendre les bonnes décisions et d’assurer leur participation dans toutes les sphères de la société, en tant qu’acteurs et bénéficiaires du développement du Gabon.

Trois objectifs spécifiques sous tendent la politique nationale de la jeunesse :
- améliorer les conditions de vie des jeunes ;
- développer le sens du civisme et patriotisme chez les jeunes ;
- répondre au soutien international en faveur de cette catégorie de la population.

The overall objective of the National Youth Policy is to meet all the needs, expectations and aspirations of young people to enable them making the right decisions and ensure their participation in all spheres of society, as agents and beneficiaries of the development of Gabon.
 
Three specific objectives underlie the national youth policy:
- Improving the lives of young people;
- Developing a sense of citizenship and patriotism among young people;
- Responding to international support for this category of the population.
