El presente Código tiene como objetivo crear las bases institucionales y procedimientos para ofrecer protección integral a los niños, niñas y adolescentes. El mismo consigna en un conjunto de textos, los principios consagrados en la Convención de las Naciones Unidas sobre los Derechos del Niño, encaminadas a permitir y preservar la salud física y psíquica, así como el desarrollo espiritual, cultural y social de los niños, niñas y adolescentes, respetando su dignidad.

This Code aims to create the institutional basis and procedures to provide comprehensive protection for children and adolescents. It is based on a set of texts, as well as the principles enshrined in the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, aimed at enabling and preserving the physical and mental health as well as the spiritual, cultural and social development of children and adolescents, with respect for their dignity.
