조선민주주의인민공화국 장애자보호법은 장애자의 회복치료와 교육, 문화생활, 로동에서 제도와 질서를 엄격히 세워 장애자들에게 보다 유리한 생활환경과 조건을 마련하여주는데 이바지한다. 본 법은 총 6장 54조로 구성되어있다. 본 법률의 6장은 다음의 주제들로 구성되어있다: 1) 장애자보호법의 기본; 2) 장애자의 회복치료; 3) 장애자의 교육; 4) 장애자의 문화생활; 5) 장애자의 로동; 6) 장애자보호사업에 대한 지도통제.

The Act on the Protection of Persons with Disabilities aims establish rigorous systems and order in the recovery and treatment, education, cultural life, and work of persons with disabilities, thereby building more advantageous living environments and conditions for persons with disabilities. This Act consists of 6 chapters and 54 articles. The 6 chapters include the following topics: 1) Fundamental Principles of the Act; 2) Recovery and Treatment of Persons with Disabilities; 3) Education of Persons with Disabilities; 4) Cultural Life of Persons with Disabilities; 5) Work of Persons with Disabilities; 6) Guidance and Control of Projects on the Protection of Persons with Disabilities.
