Description

In Germany mental health laws are formulated on a state level. Mental health laws for the state of Bavaria provide standards on "protection" and "help" for people with mental health problems, which are intended to ensure their right to live an autonomous and self-determined life in the community, but also to empower responsible authorities to hospitalize people in acute danger of self-harm or harm to others. The law came into force on 05/04/1992 and was last updated on 17/07/2015. The law was uploaded to the MiNDbank on 27/01/2014 and updated on 16/05/2017.
