Description

This law provides for the setting up of the human rights council in Egypt and outlines the composition, functions and powers of the council. The council shall be called the "National Council for Human Rights", it shall report to the Consultative Assembly (Majlis El Shoura) and its mission is to strengthen the protection of Human Rights in order to entrench human rights values, to spread awareness and help ensure their realization. The Council shall have legal personality, it will have its headquarters Cairo and will enjoy autonomy in the exercise of its functions, activities and responsibilities.

ينص هذا القانون على إنشاء مجلس لحقوق الإنسان في مصر ويحدد تشكيل ومهام وصلاحيات المجلس. يدعى هذا المجلس "المجلس القومي لحقوق الإنسان"، و عليه أن يقدم تقريرًا إلى مجلس الشورى ومهمة المجلس هي تعزيز حماية حقوق الإنسان من أجل ترسيخ قيم حقوق الإنسان، نشر الوعي ومساعدة ضمان تحقيق هذه الحقوق. يكون للمجلس شخصية إعتبارية، و يكون مقره بالقاهرة و يتمتع بالحكم الذاتي في ممارسة وظائفه، و نشاطاته ومسؤولياته.
