This document provides the general framework of actions and strategies of the United Nations in São Tomé and Príncipe for the programme cycle 2007-2011. Two strategic thematic areas were chosen for this period: to address access to quality basic social services including Health, Education, HIV/AIDS and Environment and the protection of the most vulnerable, and to reinforce the capacity of public institutions in order to consolidate the rule of law and the protection of human rights, while ensuring the continuous involvement of civil society.
