Nastavno na postojeće zakonodavstvo, kao i na dosadašnju provedbu i rezultate Nacionalne strategije jedinstvene politike za osobe s invaliditetom od 2003. – 2006., Vlada Republike Hrvatske donosi novi dokument Nacionalnu strategiju izjednačavanja mogućnosti za osobe s invaliditetom od 2007. do 2015. godine (dalje: Nacionalna strategija) s ciljem napretka te daljnjeg snaženja zaštite prava osoba s invaliditetom i djece s teškoćama u razvoju.

Further to the existing legislation, as well as the current implementation of the National Strategy for Persons with Disabilities 2003 - 2006, the Croatian Government adopted a new National Strategy of Equalization of Opportunities for Persons with Disabilities 2007- 2015, with the aim to progress and further strengthening the protection of the rights of persons with disabilities and children with disabilities.
