United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland EUR The UK Government, along with the Government's of Australia and Norway has directly supported 33 ODA eligible countries through the WHO FCTC 2030 project to help those countries implement WHO FCTC measures. The list of countries are here: https://fctc.who.int/who-fctc/development-assistance/fctc-2030 The UK has also supported its Overseas Territories to strengthen tobacco control, funded under the Conflict, Stability and Security Fund. This has included technical support for legislation and supporting evidence-based smoking cessation services. Two Overseas Territories now have the FCTC extended to them (Cayman Islands and Gibraltar). St Helena won a UNITAF award in 2020 for Outstanding Ministry of Health because of its progress in implementing MPOWER measures. 15 countries have been selected for support through the FCTC 2030 project funded by the UK Government. They include: Cabo Verde; Cambodia; Chad ; Colombia; Egypt; El Salvador; Georgia; Jordan; Madagascar; Myanmar; Nepal; Samoa; Sierra Leone; Sri Lanka; and Zambia. A further 9 Parties were selected to join phase two of the project following an open call for applicants in late 2019. 15 countries have been selected for support through the FCTC 2030 project funded by the UK Government. При содействии Агентства по регулированию алкогольного и табачного рынка и развитию виноделия Республики Узбекистан, Странового офиса ВОЗ, проекта «Жизнь без табака!» Общественного фонда «Ибн Сино», финансируемого Инициативой фонда М.Блюмберга по сокращению потребления табачных изделий (США), Компании «Будущее без табака» (США) (Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids, USA) проведены мероприятия по: а) разработке и продвижению в 2019 г. образцов изображений медицинских предупреждений и требования к их расположению, которые утверждены постановление Кабинета Министров Республики Узбекистан от 25 декабря 2019 г. принято № 1034 «О внесении изменений и дополнений в общий технический регламент о табачной продукции»; б) разработке и продвижению в 2019-2022 гг. антитабачного законопроекта, который был принят 25 октября Законодательной Палаты Олий Мажлиса и был одобрен 27 декабря 2022 г. Сенатом Олий Мажлиса, а также в подготовке многочисленных контраргументов к предложениям табачной промышленности; в) проведению в 2020 г. в г.Ташкенте и в г.Самарканде общественного мониторинга розничной продажи, рекламы, стимулирования продажи и спонсорства табачных изделий рядом со школами и в других общественных местах с использованием подхода «Big Tobacco, Tiny Targets». 4. По итогам конкурса отобраны победители по следующим номинациям: «За лучший информационный материал в печатных СМИ»; «За лучший информационный материал в электронных интернет- СМИ»; «За лучший теле- и радиоматериал»; «За лучшие материалы в социальных медиа, созданных молодежью на тему: «Молодежь Узбекистана против табака». В каждой номинации определены три призовые места. е) 11-12 ноября 2022 г. проведен семинар-тренинг «Будущее без табака» для представителей СМИ и лиц, принимающих решение. В рамках данного тренинга, 12 ноября состоялось награждение 12 победителей конкурса на лучшие публикации на тему: «За будущее поколение без табака». Призы были предоставлены Страновым офисом ВОЗ. 6. In December 2019, Singapore brief Victoria’s Minister for Health and the Minister for Ambulance Services Jenny Mikakos on Singapore’s Multi-pronged tobacco control strategy in Singapore, including policy measures such as the MLA for tobacco and the ban on e-cigarettes. The main aims of the JATC are: - To support national competent authorities to better handle and use data submitted in the European Common Entry Gate (EU-CEG data), to share their own datasets in a secure and sustainable way and to strengthen cooperation between product testing laboratories. - To strengthen the EU Member States in the enforcement of tobacco product regulation at the EU Member States and EU wide level through the sharing of common experiences, challenges and solutions. - To enhance a better understanding of the properties, health impact and regulatory implications of novel tobacco products and e-cigarettes. - To outline and disseminate best practices in order to address the upcoming challenges for smoke-free environments in Europe (FCTC Article 8) and to assess tobacco advertisement, promotion and sponsorship (TAPS) implementation and impact in Europe (FCTC Art.13). - To identify national tobacco endgame strategies and forward-looking tobacco control policies, to explore and exchange best practices in the development, implementation and evaluation of these strategies and policies and to facilitate their development in the European region. Montenegro EUR In the previous period, the Institute for Public Health continuously helped service providers in centers for prevention, who provide services through counseling centers in primary health care centers, through education, work on educational materials and other means. As already mentioned, the WHO initiated and implemented the preparation of project activities related to the counseling of users of tobacco products who come to chosen doctors in primary health care centers in order to meet their health needs. Namely, the project activities are directed so that all users of health services at the primary health care, who are smokers, have the opportunity to receive a short counseling on quitting smoking, as well as other therapeutic help for quitting. The Institute of Public Health continually assists providers in prevention centers, who provide services through counseling centers in Primary health care centers, through education, working on educational materials and other means.
