Finland EUR THE ACTIVITIES OF NGOs: ASH Finland disseminates information by training, newsletters, through digital and social media, and press releases. The topics deal with f.ex. tobacco industry tactics, global development, tobac-co/nicotine and health, public opinion and awareness, tobacco policy and the effects of tobacco control measures. The aim is to keep the idea of tobacco- and nicotine-free future on the agenda in (political) deci-sion-making/in public and support favorable public opinion. ASH Finland organizes strategy meetings and briefings for those active in tobacco control, and shares information on public awareness, legislative measures, and political plans. In addition, consulting in tobacco-related is-sues plays an important role. ASH Finland actively participates in developing measures to gain the aim of the Tobacco Act. It also shares the Finnish experiences in international meetings, seminars, and conferences. THE CANCER SOCIETY OF FINLAND has had a programme to prevent the uptake of tobacco product use and to promote their cessation among adolescents since 2001. In addition to cigarettes, emphases have been put on smokeless tobacco, e-cigarettes and other nicotine products such as nicotine pouches. Hungary EUR 1. Comprehensive School Health Promotion (Hungarian abbreviation: TIE). Chapter X of EMMI Decree 20/2012 (VIII. 31.) on the Functioning of Educational Institutions and the Use of Public Educational Institutions, deals with the tasks related to the health and safety of students: educational institution should design its health promotion program in a measurable way and it has to be a part of the local pedagogical program. The program should deal with smoking prevention and has to provide motivation to quit. In addition, it may also encourage employees to quit, such as having a home race to cease smoking, etc. 2. Communication campaign for smoking prevention and support cessation: a new innovative communication campaign was launched during 2022, partly in response to the spread of the new type of e-cigarette (Elf Bar), partly for the purpose of trying smoking and preventing addiction. As part of the campaign, new videos and PR articles were compiled on online media platforms and social media (Facebook, Tiktok, Modern School). We promoted the prevention websites (megelozes.cikiacigi.hu, cikiacigi.hu) among decision-makers, teachers, children and parents, while a Tiktok campaign involving popular influencers for young people was launched with a viewing rate of 1.1 million, and a YouTube channel was also created. on which videos suitable for online distribution were made about the risks of hookah, snus and Elf Bar use. 3.
