The UHC Partnership is built upon trust, long-standing commitment and engagement from its donors. Starting in 2011 with the contribution of the European Union to support 7 countries, the Partnership has seen steady expansion to over 125 countries and areas and growing.

The UHC Partnership is one of the most flexible funding streams in WHO. It supports the Organization in delivering assistance that is responsive to evolving priorities, including in the context of health emergencies such as disease outbreaks and conflict.

The UHC Partnership collaborates with a broad range of partners across the world, within and outside the health sector. This includes other agencies and joint programmes of the United Nations, global health initiatives, epistemic communities, civil society, non-government organizations, among others.
