Improving financial protection through expanding access to medicines. This includes the development of Drug Regulatory Agency institutional strategy and capacity building, working on procurement and pricing to improve access to selected Essential Medicines, e.g. to address high burden from NCDs.

Deliverables
Price regulation and practices are improved leading to decreased patient cost sharing to CVD related essential medicines in additional drug package. Additionally, the new regulation for the selection of medicines into the Additional Drug Package (ADP) is being implemented. The various forms required to launch this new process have been developed. The submission of applications in accordance with the new regulation is planned to start in January 2024.
