Strengthening management of quality of care systems
An assessment of accreditation standards for health care providers is conducted. A revised version of the accreditation standards is developed with WHO support. Technical support to review the regulations governing the quality councils at health care provider level is provided. Support in piloting of the new regulation of quality councils is provided. Capacity building of key stakeholders in quality of care management is provided through workshops, seminars and study visits.

The technical unit of the National Medicines Agency was trained to increase their skills in the area of good distribution practices in line with international standards. Two simulated GDP inspections performed.
