WHO Kenya facilitated the MOH's Health Labor Market Analysis (2021-2023) through the Working for Health program, resulting in key policy recommendations to address health workforce distribution and efficiency issues. HLMA report was endorsed by the senior MOH leadership, launched and disseminated.
The Health Labor Market Analysis provided essential evidence-based policy recommendations that have informed the development of the Health workforce policy to enable the Ministry of Health to optimize the allocation and utilization of health workers, thereby improving service delivery. This comprehensive analysis will also inform the development of an investment plan to stimulate strategic investments in training, recruitment, and retention, ensuring a sustainable supply of competent health professionals to meet the country's health needs.
