Workshop with UNDP to enhance understanding the prequalification process

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) procures diagnostic tests for Global Fund-supported programmes and supports Member States in accessing high-quality in vitro diagnostics (IVDs), including those prequalified by WHO. To enhance understanding of the prequalification (PQ) process, a workshop held with colleagues from UNDP on 16 May focused on how it addresses IVD performance in low-resource settings and how PQ assessment outcomes can aid procurement decisions. It was agreed that closer collaboration between UNDP and the PQ-IVD team would strengthen the mutual goal of improving access to quality-assured IVDs.
