Dear PAGNET MEMBERS
Here in Zanzibar Port health authority don't charge any health measures in Airport so the department has no any sources of income.
Do you country charge any health measures in airport?
Examples

2. Health Clearance of the aircraft.
3. Disinfection of the Arrival and departure areas.
4. Clearance of ill and dead passengers

Good afternoon everyone.
One of the measures to be taken when facing a communicable disease on board an aircraft is to carry out a disinfection of the aircraft. WHO indicates in their recent document "WHO Internim Guidance for Ebola Event Management at Points of Entry", that sodium hypochlorite (bleach) is not an acceptable disinfectant on board an aircraft.
Does anybody of you know why? Is there a list of products authorized to be used on aircrafts for this purpose? If not, what are the recommended products to be used in those cases?
Thank you all for your help.

Dear Colleagues,
The Ebola Virus is a significant current issue for those working in public health. WHO have declared that the conditions for a Public Health Emergency of International Concern under the International Health Regulations 2005 have been met. Port Health Officers are a key front line control against the spread of diseases of international concern.
Whilst public health is of utmost concern, ensuring that over-reactions do not occur is also vital in providing effective controls. How can PAGNet assist?
