The Sixty-eighth session of the World Health Assembly (WHA) takes place in Geneva 18–26 May 2015. The Health Assembly is the supreme decision-making body of WHO. It is attended by delegations from all WHO Member States. Its main functions are to determine the policies of the Organization, supervise financial policies, and review and approve the proposed programme budget. The Health Assembly is held annually in Geneva, Switzerland.
A total of 9 confirmed cases of Ebola virus disease (EVD) was reported in the week to 10 May: the lowest weekly total this year (Guinea reported a total of 7 cases, Sierra Leone reported 2).

WHO has declared tomorrow as World Malaria Day 2015.
The WHO website has several pages devoted to the day and the latest statistics about Malaria (which highlight the scale of this disease) can be found at http://www.who.int/campaigns/malaria-day/2015/en/ Four countries were declared free of malaria in the last decade and the strategy is to increase this to 35 by 2030.
