Dear Colleagues,
I recently boarded a vessel in order to conduct an inspection under the IHR and issue a new SSC. The inspection was going well, although i had noted a good number of non-compliances, until i discovered what was a fairly good infestation of cockroaches in the galley and provision stores.

In my airport that I work we don't do any procedure for disinfection of the aircraft. Can you please tell me in your airport what are you doing in this case as well as vector control procedures in airports.
regards
JUMA

Dear Colleagues,
The Ebola Virus is a significant current issue for those working in public health. WHO have declared that the conditions for a Public Health Emergency of International Concern under the International Health Regulations 2005 have been met. Port Health Officers are a key front line control against the spread of diseases of international concern.
Whilst public health is of utmost concern, ensuring that over-reactions do not occur is also vital in providing effective controls. How can PAGNet assist?
