Hello Everyone,
I have a request to see if anyone has actually come across an International Ballast Water Management Certificate during your inspections. If you have or indeed do see one, would you be bale to send me a copy at martin.walker@scpha.gov.uk ? I am looking for examples to add for the Virtual Ship Training that we run in the UK.
Equally, if you have seen examples of approved Ballast Water Treatment systems in place on board vessels, I would be interested to about these and to see any photos.

Dear colleagues,
In September 2017 the Ballast Water Management Convention will go into force. We use this occasion as an opportunity to give the Dutch Ship Sanitation Certificate inspectors extra instructions/information about how to inspect ‘Area 11 Ballast Water’.
To be honest, we have (until now) not paid a lot of attention to area 11 in the Netherlands and I know that this is also the case in some other countries. I am wondering how in other countries the Ship Sanitation Certificate inspectors inspect Area 11.
