Monitoring has been conducted since 2009 by the Kuwait Breastfeeding Promotion Committee . The last monitoring exercise reported to WHO in 2014 took place in 2013. In 2009 a cross sectional survey was conducted among 154 mothers of infants between 6-24 months attending immunization clinics located in the Kuwait six Governorates. The IBFAN monitoring tool (SIM) was used. Ongoing monitoring by the members of the Breastfeeding Promotion Program subcommittees was done daily routinely at all health facilities until 2013 but not at public places.
