The Global nutrition policy review is based on a questionnaire survey conducted during 2009–2010, in which 119 WHO Member States and 4 territories participated.

Supplementation with vitamin A was reported to the WHO Global Nutrition Policy Review (GNPR) 2009-2010. Supplementation free to user. Report reference: MIcronutrient Survey 2007.Vitamin A capsule is given to children aged 9 months to 2 1/2 years under immunization program and to pre and primary school children aged 2 ½ to -13 years under school health program.It is given once every 6 months and the program is carried out nationwide since 1999.• Vitamin A 100,000IU is given to children aged 9 months to 1 year (1st Dose of Vitamin A)• Vitamin A 200,000IU is given to children aged 1 to 13 years
