The Global Nutrition Policy Review 2016–2017 is the report of the second comprehensive analysis of nutrition-related policy environment, coordination mechanisms, available capacities and actions being taken in 176 Member States (91%) and one area which responded to the survey carried out between July 2016 and December 2017.

Implementation details : 

Applies to all foods. Applies to all settings. Always mandatory. The limit of trans fatty acids is 2 grams per 100 grams total fat. For processed multi-ingredient foodstuffs: if the total fat content of the food is less than 20%, the amount of trans fatty acids in the total fat content of the food must not exceed 4 grams per 100 grams; if the total fat content of the food is less than 3%, the amount of trans-fatty acids in the total fat content of the food must not exceed 10 grams per 100 grams.
