The Global Nutrition Policy Review 2016–2017 is the report of the second comprehensive analysis of nutrition-related policy environment, coordination mechanisms, available capacities and actions being taken in 176 Member States (91%) and one area which responded to the survey carried out between July 2016 and December 2017.

Implementation details : 

Applies to all foods except those that naturally contain trans fats and not subject to the process of industrialization. Applies to all settings. Mandatory. Decreto Supremo N° 033-2016-SA calls for the gradual reduction of trans fats in foods and non-alcoholic beverages processed industrially. Specified limits of trans fats in fats, vegetable oils, and margarines is 2 g per 100 g or 100 mL. The limit for other processed foods and beverages is 5 g per 100 g or 100 mL.
