Mandate: 

Mandated to monitor compliance with national legislative or other appropriate measure. Monitoring in: health facilities, media, billboards, retail shops, pharmacies.

Notes: 

Monitoring has been conducted since 1991. It has been conducted every 3 years since 2014. The last monitoring exercise reported to WHO in 2014 took place in 2013, in health facilities nationwide. Sanctions were imposed on the violations identified during monitoring, including administrative sanctions. The responsible agency for imposing sanctions are the central and local health authorities
