Additionally, the following measures were taken: blood pressure, height, weight, waist circumference, hip circumference, heart rate, fasting blood glucose, total cholesterol and triglycerides."},"method":{"data_collection":{"sampling_procedure":"At the same time of the STEPS survey, MOH also conducted the Global Adult Tobacco Survey (GATS) at the same scale, location, and with the same study subjects (>15 years for GATS and 18-69 for STEPS) to save time and resources for these two surveys. A multi-stage cluster sample of households was drawn. One individual within the age range of the survey was selected per household. These weights were adjusted for differences in the age-sex composition of the sample population as compared to the target population.\n\nDifferent weight variables are available per Step:\nwStep1 - for interview data\nwStep2 - for physical measures\nwStep3 - for biochemical measures\nThis allows for differences in the weight calculation for each Step of the survey as the age-sex composition of the respondents to each Step can differ slightly due to refusal or drop out. Additionally, some countries perform subsampling for Step 2 and\/or Step 3.
