As communicated earlier, the World Bank launched today two knowledge notes with many references to tobacco taxation policies. One of the notes is on health taxes (including background information; country examples; role in revenue generation; linkages between health taxes, tax policy and tax administration). The other note discusses health taxes and inflation (including how to apply them in a way that they are not eroded by inflation, especially recent, post-COVID inflations).
