14 July 2005 -- This photo essay shows how the outbreak of Marburg haemorrhagic fever in Angola is being contained. Control of the deadly disease has been possible through the early identification and isolation of people with Marburg, and through campaigns aimed at raising awareness among the local communities.

Codex adopts more than 20 food standards
12 July 2005 -- During its annual meeting, the Codex Alimentarius Commission adopted more than 20 new and amended food standards. The food standards body also set new guidelines on vitamin and mineral food supplements, and created a task force aimed at minimizing antimicrobial resistance.
