Introduction

UHC2030 is a global multi-stakeholder platform to accelerate progress towards universal health coverage. Everyone should have access to an affordable core package of essential health services, including quality medicines. No-one should be pushed into poverty when accessing these services.

UHC2030 is conducting a research study to understand the challenges people face in accessing healthcare, including financial barriers. We invite you to be part of this study because your experiences and perspectives can help us better understand these challenges. The results of this study will be featured in the ‘From Commitment to Action: A Global UHC Action Tracker (ACT for UHC)’ reports and UHC Day campaigns.

Purpose of the research

Accessing good healthcare that meets people’s needs is important. We are conducting this study to understand the challenges people face when trying to access healthcare. We also want to learn what factors encourage people to seek healthcare and what helps them receive the care they need. The information collected in this study will help us better understand how to improve healthcare access and advocate for changes that benefit communities like yours.

Type of research being undertaken

You have been invited to share your thoughts and experiences related to healthcare access in a global online survey. The survey will take approximately 15 minutes to complete. Your responses will be fully anonymized and will be treated confidentially.

Voluntary participation

Your participation is completely voluntary. Questions marked as * are mandatory. You may skip any other question not marked as mandatory and withdraw from the study at any time before submitting your answers. If you wish to withdraw once your responses are submitted, you can contact the UHC Secretariat (secretariat@uhc2030.org) by 3 October 2025 23:59 CET. Your responses will then be removed from the dataset.

All information collected in this study will be kept strictly confidential. Your name and surname will not be collected, but your contact details (email or phone number) will be requested to ensure there are no duplicate submissions. All identifying details, including your email or telephone number, will be removed before analysis. Each participant will be assigned a unique code instead of their name or email, and only the authorized research team will have access to this data. Your responses will be securely stored.
