Public consultation on the Discussion paper: Global initiative to eliminate cataract-related blindness and vision impairment
The World Health Organization (WHO) is inviting comments from Member States and all interested parties on the consultation draft of the Discussion paper: Global initiative to eliminate cataract-related blindness and vision impairment.
Please review the full Discussion paper before completing this online questionnaire. The questionnaire contains 19 questions, covering each section of the discussion paper, and should take approximately 15–20 minutes to complete.
All questions are optional and allow you to provide comments and feedback on specific sections of the Discussion paper. You do not need to provide feedback on sections on which you have no comments or that are outside your area of expertise.
Consultation deadline: 11:59 PM on 2 October 2026 (CET)
Use of responses: Responses will be reviewed by WHO to inform revisions to the Discussion paper and the further development of the proposed global initiative. Please provide clear, specific and, where possible, evidence-informed comments, particularly on technical soundness, feasibility in different country contexts, equity, implementation, measurement and monitoring.
