Draft WHO target product profile for wrist-worn wearable devices to measure physical activity and sedentary behaviour in national population health monitoring systems
WHO is seeking feedback on the draft target product profile (TPP) for wrist-worn wearable devices intended to measure physical activity and sedentary behaviour in national and subnational population health monitoring systems. The consultation seeks views on the rationale, intended use and scope; the proposed minimum and additional/enhanced device characteristics; whether the TPP meets the needs of intended users; and priorities for future WHO implementation and analytical support. Responses will inform revision of the draft TPP.
Please base your responses on the consultation draft. Where you recommend a change, please provide a brief rationale and, where possible, proposed alternative wording, a threshold, or supporting evidence. Certain questions are optional and you do not need to complete all sections.
