1. About the application form

Following the approval by Member States of the accreditation procedure for regional non-State actors not in official relations with the World Health Organization (WHO) to attend meetings of the WHO Regional Committee for the Western Pacific in October 2024, eligible entities are invited to apply for accreditation through this electronic application form.

2. Use of the application form and acceptance of these Terms and Conditions of Use

This is a legal agreement (the “Agreement”) between the user and the World Health Organization (“WHO”), granting the user access to fill in the application form subject to the terms and conditions herein. If the user enters into this Agreement on behalf of an organization (the “Organization”), by accessing or using the application form the user confirms (represents and warrants) that he/she is authorized by his/her organization to enter into this Agreement on the Organization’s behalf. In such a case, the terms “user”, “you” and “your” in this Agreement refer to, and this Agreement applies to, the Organization.

By accessing or using the application form, the user agrees to accept these terms and conditions of use (“TCUs”) and disclaimers. WHO reserves the right to incorporate, revisions, updates and improvements to the application form's content, at any time without notice. These TCUs and disclaimers shall become binding upon the user by posting an amended version of the TCUs on the application form website. You should visit the application form website periodically to review the current TCUs. 

These TCUs are effective until terminated by WHO once the purpose of the application form has expired. All restrictions, disclaimers, and limitations of liability set out in these TCUs will survive any such termination.

3. WHO disclaimers and limitation of liability relating to the application form

WHO provides the application form on an “as is” basis and makes no representations regarding their operational status, accuracy, completeness, defect-free condition, virus protection, or uninterrupted functionality. WHO disclaims all responsibility for any technical issues, errors, or delays that may arise during the application process.

The application form may contain links to resources on external websites. WHO is not responsible for the accuracy or content of any external link. The presence of any resource or external link on the application form does not imply that the resource, or its author or entity, is endorsed or recommended by the World Health Organization. These links are provided for convenience only.  

4. Submission of Information

By accessing or using the application form, the user certifies that all information provided is true, complete, and accurate to the best of their knowledge. The user assumes full responsibility for the correctness of the submitted data and must promptly notify WHO of any changes to this information.

The submission of your application form does not guarantee approval or acceptance of your Organization for accreditation by WHO.

False, misleading, or omitted information may result in the withdrawal of an offer, termination of accreditation, or other legal repercussions.

5. No implied endorsement by WHO or use of the WHO name and/or emblem

The applicant shall not, in connection with the use of the application form, state or imply that WHO endorses or is affiliated with the applicant or the applicant's organization, activities, products, or views.

Submission of the application form does not authorize the use of the WHO name, emblem, or logo. All requests for the use of the WHO name and/or emblem require prior written approval from WHO.

6. Dispute Resolution

Any dispute relating to the interpretation or application of these TCUs or the application form shall, unless amicably settled, be subject to conciliation. In the event of failure of the latter, the dispute shall be settled by arbitration. The arbitration shall be conducted in accordance with the modalities to be agreed upon by the parties or, in the absence of agreement, with the rules of arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce. The parties shall accept the arbitral award as final.

7. Privileges and immunities

Nothing in or relating to these TCUs or the application form shall be deemed a waiver of any of the privileges and immunities enjoyed by WHO under national or international law and/or as submitting WHO to any national court jurisdiction.
