The World Rehabilitation Alliance (WRA) is a WHO-hosted global network of stakeholders whose mission is to support the implementation of the Rehabilitation 2030 Initiative through advocacy. Its work is focused on the promotion of rehabilitation as an essential health service that is integral to Universal Health Coverage and to the realization of Sustainable Development Goal 3: “Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages”. The objectives of the WRA are to:


1) Conduct evidence-based advocacy activities that increase support and raise awareness on rehabilitation, and
2) Strengthen networking and knowledge sharing within the rehabilitation sector.

The WRA invites membership applications from entities working in the field of rehabilitation. 

Eligibility Criteria

  1. The aims and purposes of the entity should be consistent with the WHO Constitution and conform with WHO’s policies.  
  2. The entity should contribute significantly to the advancement of public health and rehabilitation and to the objectives, vision and goal of the WRA and demonstrate support for the WHO Rehabilitation 2030 initiative.  
  3. The entity should be actively and internationally working in the field of rehabilitation with proven experience and expertise in the subject matter for at least three years.  
  4. The entity should have an established structure, constitutive act, and accountability mechanism. 
  5. The entity, if a membership organization, should have the authority to speak for its members and have a representative structure.

This application form has four sections:

  1. General information about the entity
  2. Tobacco/arms related disclosure statement for non-state actors
  3. Entity focus
  4. Supporting files

Prepare the following documents in English for upload in the final section:

  • By-laws/constitution
  • Copy of governance structure
  • Certificate of establishment
  • Sources of funding (list of donors and sponsors)
  • List of names of members of the decision-making body (Managers or Board)
  • Report of activities in rehabilitation for the last three years (e.g., annual report).
