The World Hearing Forum was set up in 2019 with goal to facilitate the implementation of the WHA70.13 resolution and support WHO through advocacy for prioritization of ear and hearing care globally.

Over the past three years, members of the forum have worked through four identified workstreams to engage with stakeholders in the field and build a common global narrative. At the same time, WHO, with the support of forum members, has launched the World report on hearing and developed tools to support countries in integration of people-centered ear and hearing care into national health plans. It is realized that there is a need to improve engagement with:

1. WHF members outside the core group

2. Stakeholders working in other health domains (that are related to ear and hearing care)

To achieve this, WHO is setting up a task force* that can contribute to this strategy development. The terms of reference can be accessed here

More information about the World Hearing Forum is available on the WHO website

*Note: This is a purely voluntary engagement. No enumeration or reward will be provided for the work and activities undertaken as part of the task force.
