The Age-Friendly DC 2017 Strategic Plan evaluation showed that Age-Friendly DC accomplished important changes.  The Mayor accepted recognition of Age-Friendly DC's work, presented by WHO and by AARP in 2017.  The Age-Friendly 2023 Strategic Plan was released by the Mayor in 2018.\r\n\r\nPreviously Kohn launched DC's Capitol Hill Village in 2007, a volunteer-first neighbors helping neighbors to grow old together.  DC now has 12 independent villages.  Earlier she was the founding executive director of Collington, a continuing care retirement community with residential housing, home care support, assisted living and skilled nursing on one campus in Prince Georges County, MD.
