The main aim of the initiative is to enhance the membership of the Emirate of Sharjah in the global network of Age-friendly cities and its one of the important initiatives of the strategic plan.<\/p>\n<p>The initiative has standards for accessible services and community empowerment for the elderly and those who passed the 80% from the required criteria were granted accreditation of their building as an Age-friendly institution.<\/p>\n<p>The total number of the participations in its second round about 21 buildings.
