Department of economic development in Sharjah has offered one of the most prominent initiatives which gives licenses for the elderly and serves one of the Age-friendly standards. The License is issued electronically without the need for the personal attendance for the elderly. To make this initiative successful the department conduct workshops introducing the license (accreditation) both internal and external. In addition, Participation in the exhibitions is without fees to promote and sell elderly products. Elderly gets 50% discounts on the license fees which encourage them to provide specialized workshops.. They have an advantage in different government departments which they can participate in each department in Sharjah and they have the priority in finishing elderly transactions. The number of the elderly people over 60 years old with an accreditation license is 102 in the year 2020.<\/p>\n
The objectives of the accreditation license for elderly:<\/p>\n
1- Support males and females citizens to invest in the private projects.<\/p>\n
2- Organizing the process of doing business from home in the emirate of Sharjah.<\/p>\n
3- Ensuring individual and economic property rights for productive families.<\/p>\n
4- These privileges provide home license holders with accreditation for UAE citizens both male and female who is residing in the emirates of Sharjah.<\/p>\n
