The Department of Social Services in Sharjah, in cooperation with the Sharjah Municipality and the Prevention and Safety Authority, launched virtual workshops as part of its awareness campaign \u201cSafe House\u201d, with the aim of spreading and enhancing awareness among community members of the home safety of dwelling residents of the elderly, disabled, and children groups. \u00a0Educating the public on the need to take advantage of the most basic points of home safety.<\/p>\n

The awareness campaign includes 8 virtual workshops that are implemented remotely, in addition to live broadcasts via the “social media platforms” of the Social Services Department and its partners.<\/p>\n

Maryam Al-Qusayr, Director of the Social Education Department, said that this step-in providing programs in partnership with other bodies confirms the importance of complementary roles between government agencies in matters of safety, noting that the department seeks through its cooperation with various governmental or private agencies to achieve the vision of the concerned department that Society enjoys well-being, security, family stability and social inclusion.<\/p>\n

For his part, Eng. Yaqoub Al Zarouni, Director of the Engineering Department at the Municipality of Sharjah, affirmed that the municipality\u2019s participation in the safe housing campaign with an awareness program<\/p>\n

reflects the municipality\u2019s keenness to participate in various workshops and events, especially raising awareness to convey its message to the public, and increase\u00a0Their culture in various fields, and the municipality is keen to enhance cooperation and coordination with various government agencies.<\/p>\n

Engineer Abdullah Al Majidi, Director of the Acting Preventive Training Institute at the Prevention and Safety Authority, affirmed that the authority is working to enhance the quality of life in the emirate by applying the highest safety and prevention standards in order to preserve the safety of life and property, and aims to contribute to preventing accidents and protecting lives and property, in order to achieve public safety \u00a0And developing awareness among community members of prevention methods, its importance and its impact on public safety.
