This approach adopts a life\u00a0course perspective that takes into account\u00a0the diversity of needs and capacities of persons\u00a0as they grow older. Focusing on the\u00a0multisectoral determinants of active ageing\u00a0that are in play in crisis situations, it shows\u00a0how to promote the health, participation\u00a0and security of older persons before, during\u00a0and after an emergency. This approach can\u00a0be the basis for differentiating and integrating\u00a0older persons within comprehensive\u00a0emergency planning. At the same time, it\u00a0serves to encompass emergency management\u00a0within broader health and social\u00a0policy addressing individual and population\u00a0ageing.
