The first seminar, organised in March, discussed age-friendly labour markets and social\u00a0protection systems. The second one, organised in\u00a0June, tackled the impact of the crisis on older people.\u00a0The third, organised in November, looked at the role\u00a0of local and regional authorities in the creation of an\u00a0Age-Friendly European Union by 2020.<\/p>\n<p>This brochure is built on the outcomes of these three\u00a0seminars and on AGE\u2019s on-going work in the field of\u00a0age-friendly environments. It is published as a legacy\u00a0of the EY2012 to foster a more positive approach to\u00a0demographic change and promote innovative and\u00a0supportive solutions to respond to the needs of our\u00a0ageing population across Europe.
