STEPS
This is the first STEPS conducted by Madagascar.
STEPS is a household-based survey to obtain core data on the established risk factors that determine the major burden of NCDs.

The following topics were included in the survey: tobacco use, alcohol consumption, diet, physical activity, history of raised blood glucose and history of raised blood pressure. Additionally, the following measures were taken: blood pressure, height, weight, waist circumference, hip circumference, heart rate.

A multi-stage cluster sample design was used to produce representative data for that age range in Madagascar. Please refer to pages 7 and 8 of report for further information.

The user undertakes:

The data is being distributed without warranty of any kind. The responsibility for the use of the data lies with the user. In no event shall the World Health Organization be liable for damages arising from its use.
