EMT Request for Assistance: Tajikistan (14 May 2020)

As of 13 May 2020, a total of 801 cases and 28 deaths from COVID-19 have been reported in Tajikistan. The cumulative incidence of COVID-19 cases is 7.8 cases per 100,000 in the population. Given the increasing incidence rate, Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Republic of Tajikistan has issued a request for assistance for specialized Emergency Medical Teams.

The Ministry is seeking at least four Emergency Medical Teams to deploy as a specialized care team each comprising

  • Team Leads (2)
  • IPC (4)
  • Clinical Management (4)
  • Imaging based diagnostics (2)
  • Logistics (2)

All teams interested in deploying that meet the criteria should email their offers of assistance and registration forms (click here for form) to the EMT Secretariat (emteams@who.int).

Deployment of Emergency Medical Teams is subject to approval by the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Republic of Tajikistan. Once in the field, the coordination of EMT activities is led by the Ministry of Health and supported by WHO. 
Teams are expected to be able to comply with the 
minimum standards of being a deployable EMT. We thank you in advance for your assistance.
